“In the aim of exploring the intersection between Human Rights and the Sustainable Development Goals and as main contributors to the 2030 Agenda, the SCORP IT and EA IT are teaming up for the SCORP SDG Weekend initiative starting with this Webinar.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has been widely acknowledged as the most participatory process ever in the history of the United Nations. This agenda is recognized to be one of the most comprehensive and powerful instruments for sustainable development. The agenda offers critical opportunities to further advance the realization of human rights for all people everywhere incorporating a wide range of human rights principles and standards throughout its targets.

IFMSA has been working on the 2030 Agenda since its adoption and strives to engage healthcare students in activities, capacity building spaces and advocacy for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. As we’re entering the decade of action for the SDGs, it is important to enhance our members’ capacity and awareness for the Global Goals from the lens of the different Standing Committees, the space where a big number of their activities are based on.

Through this webinar we aim to broaden your perspectives on the SCORP perspective from the SDGs , put under the spotlight the intersectionality between human rights and the SDGs and empower you to contribute to the fulfillment of the targets through your actions as human rights and peace advocates.

Our speakers in the webinar will be:

  • Ana Paula Estrella Saa, SCORP General Assistant 20/21

  • Adham Osama Sleem, EA CBDA 20/21

Please join us by filling the registration form: here before May 23rd at 12 GMT. “
